Shock!

I found out today that a former student committed suicide.  This amazing young man was also a classmate of my oldest daughter.  She is devastated and I'm in shock.

  1. May the peace of Christ be with you and your daughter as you work through the pain of losing someone. No one can know why a loved one would decide to choose to leave this Earth, but their need to do so is not related to how we chose to love them. Illness including mental illness and disease are often too much for some to bear. Just keep him in your own prayers, and ask God to hold him close.

  2. I am so sorry. The pain of death runs deep, and even more so when it's tragic and unnecessary. I don't know the pain this student must have carried in his life, but I know your pain. I pray the Lord Jesus will comfort your family as well as the student's family. Only God can ease the sting of death. Only He provides hope in the midst of confusion and sorrow. May the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7) be ever present.

    Psalm 71:20-21
Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.
